Viewing And Ftping To Sites Before The DNS Resolves

The temporary URL to use to view your site before the DNS resolves is:

http://{ip}/~{user}/

This will work provided you do not have any domain dependent sripts running & no html tags pointing to your domain name. Don't forget the end slash.


ftp://{ip}

Login with user & password. Microsoft's Internet Explorer defaults to login as Anonymous. If you use this, you'll need to choose login as from the File dropdown menu.
